For our respectable client we are in search of a Datacenter Systems Engineer. Our deeply  appreciated client, a great IT Service Provider and innovative Software House is headquartered in Amsterdam, near the centre.

We are looking for enforcements due to the strong and healthy growth of the company. Since this year, a couple of well-known IT service providers and Software houses joined forces and move forward together to strengthen / expand their name and position as ‘ The ICT service provider for SME and MNE’s in Amsterdam. Although they are an intelligent Software and Services company, they deliver work from their own offices and not at the clients locations. This makes them an in-house employer. With almost 20 years’ experience and expertise in designing, developing, installing, and managing computer networks they will undoubtedly achieve this. Their customers are in various industries, including legal, hospitality, non-profit, and retail. The Cloud strategies of our client makes them one of the top partners for Microsoft to deploy Office 365 and Azure in various segments.

The Datacenter System Engineer;

As a Datacenter Engineer you will be responsible for independently setting up and managing systems and networks at our client/ your employer and their technical customers. You will work at a fixed location in Amsterdam, close to the centre. The design, implementation, and coordination of projects are among your tasks. As an experienced Datacenter System Engineer, you possess strong communication skills as you will know how to advise internal and external clients on IT issues in a Cloud environment. You can also articulate the technical language well and clearly. Moreover your colleagues can always approach you for support and advice.

You will work with professional Datacenter colleague’s but you will also be self-managing of your own field so you can pull all the duties and responsibilities that appeal to you and develop yourself further. The department where you will be working has a very skilled and experienced team that will support,  progress, and help to develop you further.

Required;

-experience as a Datacenter Engineer in a Microsoft environment (Microsoft Certification).

-knowledge of Microsoft Azure.

-knowledge of virtualization technology, preferably Hyper-V.

-knowledge of storage, networking, and security.

-knowledge of SCOM and MOMS.

-knowledge of PowerShell and Office 365 (is not compulsory).

-analytical and communication skills.

You definitely;

-pick up independent Datacenter operations.

-deal with hectic working conditions and are solution mined.

-find it challenging to analyse problems and also anticipate logical solutions and structures.

Some general responsibilities;

-You will provide support with regard to various Datacenter issues that occur while using the products (this can be by telephone, by email or on site).

-You record and report questions in a professional manner (technical, functional or business-oriented nature) and propose Datacenter solutions, possibly in cooperation with the team.

-Your support ensures that technical customers get the most out of your solutions.
