Our respected client, the employer, is a Systems company currently working for the Dutch Marine Corps and Dutch Air Force. Their core competencies include systems engineering, program, and project management, logistics, information technology and cyber security, and software development services. They were founded in 1990 and since the establishment they have been providing cutting edge solutions and support to Dutch governmental parties. They understand and provide expert consultation (from their office) on network and acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.
This systems company is currently seeking a Junior Tester to support their products and services. The Junior Tester will be responsible for execution of end to end testing for product releases, to include functional, system, and regression testing of C++ based applications. The candidate will be responsible for the development of software test plans, test scenarios and cases, defect logging and reproduction procedures. The Junior Test candidate needs to possess strong communication skills and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities will include:
-Designing and executing manual test plans and test scenarios for software components and builds.
-Converting business requirements into test plans and test cases.
-Working closely with embedded software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures.
-Defect/Bug tracking and reproduction procedures.
-Acting as a software testing resource on project teams, and interacting with Developers, System Analysts, Project Managers and other QA analysts.
Required Experience\Skills:
-6 months to one year of experience with software testing processes and methodologies including designing and developing test cases and test scenarios based upon system requirements and specifications documentation.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Team player that can work with minimal supervision.
-Strong knowledge of C++ programming, SDLC, to include Agile/Scrum.
-Strong understanding of C++ based applications.
-Preferably 1+years manual functional/regression testing design and execution experience.
-Preferably 1+years of test case and test plan design/maintenance.
